I had a great experience with EliteXteriors. They came and tore down the old deck in a couple of hours. The next day they put in the new deck and had the final walkthrough the following day. They cleaned up everything, and you can’t tell they were here except where they put in the new leggings and footings.
Elite Xteriors did a fabulous job with my home projects. The tore down an old deck, took care of disposing of the old wood, built a deck and added a porch. I also ordered and had a new exterior door installed. Everyone involved - Mike, Maegan, Eric, Brad, CJ, & Caesar - were responsive to my questions and did everything possible to accommodate my requests. All crew members showed up as scheduled (and on time!), were respectful of the property and cleaned up at the end of each work day. I recommend Elite Xteriors

Elite Xteriors is by far the best company that I reached out to build a new deck for me. The customer service was amazing throughout the entire process. Brooke was absolutely amazing during the inital consultation, she was patient and went through all of the options with me. Brian was readily available with any questions that I had and was very respectful throughout the entire process. The building crew was overall very neat and communicated throughout each day of building. I couldn’t be happier with the result.

I am writing this review of EliteXteriors for my decking project.
I selected EliteXteriors after a truly exhaustive vendor/product comparison. Not only of materials, but of cost, reviews, installation vendors, etc. Elite lived up to my expectations of a quality decking result. Their sales rep Mike, Project Manager Maegan, and their decking installation team went well above and beyond to ensure my needs were met. Mike worked harder than any sales rep I have done business with. I am truly happy with the result of my deck. My only recommendation for others considering Elite is like working with any vendor to ensure the punch down list is in writing and explained. Overall, this project from begining to end has been exceptional. I would highly recommend EliteXteriors to anyone. I would select them again for my next project. Thank You! Great job! Best. Rick

10/31/25 Update: I am glad to report that the deck issues have been finally resolved and Elite Xteriors stood behind their work. The crew took their time replacing all of the deck boards to ensure it was done right and did a great job. We are happy with the end result and excited to finally enjoy our new deck with friends & family.
Our experience with Elite Xteriors has been extremely disappointing. The company handled our deck project, completed in early summer 2025, and what should have been a relatively straightforward job turned into a series of costly and frustrating issues.
The project involved resurfacing one existing deck and rebuilding another, totaling approximately 750 square feet. The crew began by completely removing the deck that was only intended for resurfacing and only partially dismantled the deck scheduled for a full rebuild. Additionally, the new structure was specified to be free-standing, as was the original, yet the crew attached the rim joist directly to our home—through newly installed Hardiplank siding—because they neglected to order the necessary 6x6 support posts.
Following construction, improper deck board spacing led to severe issues during the heavy rains of June and July. The kiln-dried boards expanded, causing approximately 70% of the screw heads to snap and significant warping of the decking.
Despite multiple site visits and acknowledgments that these are serious construction errors, no corrective action has been taken as of October 6. The company representatives have consistently left without performing any remediation work.
Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Elite Xteriors. If you do choose to work with them, I strongly advise overseeing the project closely, as even fundamental construction practices were not followed in our case.

I hired EliteXteriors to redesign, rebuild, and screen in a portion of my back porch. The team kept in frequent contact from the beginning meeting to show me my options all the way to the final walk through process. I had a budget that I wanted to keep close to, and the sales person Seth explained my options and did everything possible to help me stay within budget. From there, Maegan kept me informed about scheduling and the permitting process. And Chris let me know every detail about the construction schedule, as well as inspections. After completion, everything was cleaned up nicely. This really feels like a small family company that cares about their work output. I will definitely use them again for any other home projects and will be recommending their services to anyone looking for a way to upgrade their home.

Elite Xteriors just replaced my back deck in Wendell with premium lumber. Had a great experience through the whole process. We started with Josh who did an excellent job and continued through the process with Eric who was great at well. Would definitely recommend them to all my friends and family!

Massive deck project in chapel hill/ Carrboro. Super impressed with their workmanship, punctuality and how neatly they finished this huge deck in less than a week. I would highly recommend Elite- you won’t be disappointed.
I received very poor service from the person who called. I provided all the information he requested, and we agreed on a day and time that worked for me. However, he insisted that my wife also join, even though she does not deal with salespeople because she get to much anxiety plus she has unique working hours. He refused to be flexible on this requirement, which left me no choice but to cancel everything . Update: Afterwards the owner did called back a few day's later to apologize and see if i still wanted them to come out but it was too late i had already signed with a different company.
