Garner Deck Permits — We Handle the Process
Garner requires portal-first submissions and online inspection scheduling.
Garner now directs new permit applications through its SmartGov Permit & Inspection Portal; the Town says paper applications and plan sets are no longer accepted. After creating an account, applicants can upload drawings, review comments, pay fees, track permit status and request inspections in SmartGov. Garner separately states that inspections are not scheduled by phone or email and require 24-hour notice. For deck plans, Town resources include a residential application, deck-plan checklist and plot-plan guidance.
